Smart helmets at production: a step toward zero injuries
At ALES JSC, systematic safety work relies on technology, a culture of care for personnel, and regulated occupational safety. One initiative was deploying 12 smart helmets in the company's production units.
The device is not limited to head protection: the built-in video camera enables real-time monitoring of work progress, recording personnel actions, controlling access and compliance with safety instructions, and analyzing behavior at workstations.
"We work in this helmet. Every patrol, every shift. We record everything, review it, analyze it," says Aleksandr Chukalin, head of safety and occupational health at the plant.
